Mergers and acquisitions in the gaming industry are often worth billions and create lots of buzz. In 2022 so far, the biggest video game industry acquisition of a company based in the United States was Microsoft's acquisition of Activision Blizzard in January of that year with a deal value of 68.7 billion U.S. dollars. The deal is still pending and, amongst several hurdles, faces an anti-trust prove in the UK.
