South Korea's 20th presidential election will be held on March 9, 2022. South Korea's president is elected directly for a five-year term. The president is not eligible for re-election.
According to a presidential candidate support poll conducted in South Korea in February 2022, about 46.1 percent of respondents intended to vote for Yoon Suk-yeol (People Power Party), while about 41 percent of respondents planned to vote Lee Jae-myung (Democratic Party).
