Around two thirds of hospital beds used for treatment of COVID-19 patients in Russia were infectious beds for adults in 2020. Nearly one quarter were additionally opened for COVID-19 patients from other wards due to the pandemic. Intensive care beds accounted for less than six percent of the total.
