Road fuel prices in Italy increased in the week ending January 22, 2023 as the price per 1,000 liters of Euro-Super 95 grew to over 1,829 euros. Price inflation had been boosted by the uncertainty brought on by the Russian invasion of Ukraine, as Russia is one of the leading crude oil exporters. In 2020, Russian crude oil exports to Italy were worth roughly 3,700 million U.S. dollars.
