Japan: cryptocurrency spot trading value by coin 2021

In the fiscal year 2021, the value of Bitcoin spot trading in Japan amounted to around 16.5 trillion Japanese yen. Bitcoin was followed by Ethereum, with a transaction value of over 4.9 trillion yen. The spot market accounted for the smaller share of cryptocurrency trading in Japan.
