As of 2020, the registered coastal and artisanal fishing fleet in Morocco had a total size of 145,044 gross register tonnage (GRT). Seiners and sardine vessels accounted for the largest volume, with over 52,000 GRT. Other common types of fishing boats in the country were trawlers and vessels for longline fishing.
