APAC: plastic waste collected for recycling by country or subregion

In 2019, the estimated volume of plastic waste collected for recycling in China amounted to approximately 13.23 million tons. The volume has constantly grown throughout the surveyed period, having stood at around 40 thousand tons in 1990. In 2020, the volume of plastic products disposed of in China amounted to around 38.4 million tons.
