Leading plastic waste destinations Asia 2020, by import volume
In 2020, Malaysia imported approximately 800 thousand metric tons of plastic waste, the biggest amount among Asian countries and territories. In contrast, South Korea imported around 180 thousand tons of plastic waste that year.
