According to a survey conducted a few days ahead of the June 2021 G7 Summit, certain stereotypes about women still seem to be widespread among the Canadian population. Around 41 percent of the respondents agreed that it is not possible for women to be good mothers without partly sacrificing their professional life. To stress out the point, almost three out of five respondents agreed that it is more difficult for a woman to have a successful career because she would have to partly sacrifice her family life. Moreover, more than a third of respondents in Canada believed that people exaggerate gender inequalities.
