Cancer mortality rate in urban and rural China 2021, by gender
In 2021, the mortality rate of males with cancerous tumors living in China remained above 200 deaths per 100,000 population. The death rate among women was significantly lower, ranging between 116.76 per 100,000 population in urban regions and 119.11 per 100,000 population in rural areas. Lung cancer was by far the most deadly cancer type across the two genders. The prevalence of cancer increased steadily in China in the past decade, boosting demand for treatments.
