
Share of French 18-24 year olds living with their parents 2018, by gender and status
In 2018, more than 58 percent of men between the ages of 18 and 24 lived with their parents in France, which represents ten percentage points more than among women of the same age. In addition, among people in employment, 40 percent of women lived with their parents, compared to 52 percent of men. Among the unemployed, the difference between the proportion of women and men was nearly 23 percentage points: about half of unemployed women aged 18 to 24 lived with their parents, compared with 73.5 percent of men.
