In 2023, the main reason stated by young French people for not using a condom during sex was that they trusted their partner. According to a survey conducted in February 2023, nearly two-thirds of French people aged 15 to 24 who stated not always using a condom do so because they trust their partner(s). On the other hand, nearly one out of two young French people do not use a condom as they and their partner(s) have tested for HIV.
