Natural gas supply situation in Germany 2022
As of May 2022, around four million megawatt hours of natural gas were produced for Germany, a similar volume as in the previous month. However, most of the natural gas used in Germany came from neighbouring countries. Compared to the previous year, the import volume of natural gas has fallen significantly. In return, the volume of domestically produced biogas was increased, so that the total amount of natural gas available domestically increased compared to the previous year.
