Figures for years preceding 2015 were taken from the Energy Data (table 4) report, that was published regularly by the Federal Ministry for Economy and Technology, now the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action. Figures from 2015 onwards were taken from reports published by the AG Energiebilanzen e.V.
