Primary energy consumption in Germany 2019-2021, by fuel
Primary energy consumption in Germany increased by roughly 280 petajoules in 2021, when compared to the previous year. The most used fuel was oil, which accounted for one third of the country's primary energy consumption that year. Ranking second and third were natural gas and renewable energies, respectively.
