According to a survey among South Korean grocery shoppers in 2022, around 25.1 percent of respondents stated that they bought meal kits once every two weeks, and another quarter of respondents does not buy them at all. Meal kits, also called recipe boxes, provide the consumer with not only a recipe to cook a certain dish but also premeasured ingredients, which are prepared according to the desired number of portions.
