Norway: immigrants experiencing hateful comments 2022

Nearly one third of immigrants in Norway had experienced hateful comments as of 2022, compared to only 15 percent of the general population, a survey shows. Furthermore, whereas 42 percent of Somali immigrants had experienced such comments, only one in four from Poland had done the same.

*The survey was conducted among immigrants from Poland (n=898), Ethiopia and Eritrea (n=450), Pakistan (n=621), and Somalia (n=592). 681 respondents from the general population.
