According to a 2022 cyber security survey conducted among companies in the Asia-Pacific region, 76 percent of surveyed businesses in Malaysia had previously experienced cyber incidents. In contrast, less than half of the responding businesses in Hong Kong and Singapore had been impacted by cyber incidents, respectively.
