Indonesia: types of household expenditures impacted by inflation by age group 2023

A 2023 survey by Rakuten Insight on inflation in Indonesia found that the majority of respondents across all age groups were most affected by the rising prices of basic necessities such as food, clothing, and healthcare. Meanwhile, respondents aged 55 years and above were the least impacted by inflation in terms of paying for rent or mortgages, with a share of only 8 percent.
