French household wealth breakdown by living standard decile 2021

In 2021, ten percent of French households had a net wealth exceeding 633,200 euros, and 20 percent had a net wealth exceeding 394,300 euros. Conversely, ten percent of households (those in the first decile) had a net worth of less than 3,000 euros.
In the same year, over a third of French people reported having experienced poverty at least once in their lives.

The source adds the following information: "Deciles: if we order a distribution of wages, income, sales, etc., the deciles are the values that divide this distribution into ten parts of equal size.

Thus, for a wage distribution :
the first decile is the salary below which 10% of salaries fall;
the ninth decile is the salary below which 90% of salaries fall.
The first decile is, equivalently, the salary above which 90% of salaries fall; the ninth decile is the salary above which 10% of salaries fall."
