Share of renewable energy in electricity generation Mexico 2010-2022
The use of different types of renewable energy — bioenergy, hydropower, solar, wind and other renewables — in electricity production in Mexico has increased over the last decade. In 2010, approximately 19.42 percent of electricity in the country came from renewables. Twelve years later, the share of renewables reached roughly 22.94 percent of the electric power generation. Moreover, the consumption of renewable energy in the North American country has more than quadrupled in one decade.
