E-commerce penetration for food and drink in the UK 2023, by age group
In a survey conducted in June 2023, nearly 60 percent of Gen Z (ages 18-24) consumers in the United Kingdom reported shopping for food and drinks via online channels. In contrast, that figure stood at 42 percent for respondents aged 65 and older. Overall, the e-commerce user penetration for food and drink in the UK witnessed a significant increase since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic.
