Leading online shops in Croatia 2023, by net sales

Notino.hr, the online beauty and fragrance shop, was Croatia's leading e-commerce retailer in 2023, with a revenue of over 60 million U.S. dollars. It was followed by ekupi.hr, an online shop for IT and sporting equipment, consumer electronics, and toys. Pevex.hr, a home improvement store, came third in the ranking, having earned more than 46 million U.S. dollars over the same year.

Every fourth company makes online sales

Each year, an increasing share of companies extend their operations to the digital world. As of 2023, every fourth enterprise registered in Croatia sold their products or services via websites, apps, and online marketplaces. In the same year, approximately 21 percent of the companies made B2B or B2G sales online, marking an increase compared to 2022.

What is important for Croatian online shoppers?

Free parcel delivery and return were the most crucial criteria for e-commerce users in 2022. Another 24 percent of surveyed Croatians considered cash payment the most important factor, followed by not being charged hidden fees. At the same time, online customers found environmentally friendly delivery alternatives to be of the least importance.
