Perceived confidence in the readiness of Indonesia's new capital city Nusantara 2023

A survey found that as of July 2023, about 51.8 percent of respondents claimed to be lacking confidence in Indonesia's new capital city to be ready for occupancy by 2024. The Indonesian government is currently developing the Capital City of Nusantara (Ibu Kota Nusantara/IKN), which is located in East Kalimantan, to replace Jakarta as its national capital. The development of Nusantara has started at the end of 2022 and is aimed to be fully completed by 2045. The government estimated that Nusantara would be ready to be occupied and inaugurated in 2024.
