Main sources of information for political campaigns Indonesia 2023, by generation

According to a survey conducted among Indonesians in December 2023, social media platforms like TikTok and Instagram were found to be the primary channels of political information among Gen Z, with respondent shares reaching 51 percent for those platforms. Meanwhile, 53 percent of Gen X respondents used TV and radio as their main channels.

With over 204 million registered voters representing around 75 percent of its population, Indonesia held the world's largest single-day election to choose a new president, vice president, parliamentary and local representatives on February 14, 2024.
