Share of resident population in Lisbon 2011-2022 by age group
The share of active population in Lisbon (15 to 64 years old) was 63 percent in 2022. In the last decade, this rate has risen slightly every year, being 61.4 percent in 2011. The share of young people (up to 14 years old) has remained between 13.4 percent and 14.3 percent in the last ten years, being 13.5 in 2022. Finally, the share of elderly people (65 years old and more) was 23.5 percent in 2022, reaching its highest value since 2016.
