Lowest household waste recycling rates in England 2023, by local authority
In the financial year ended March 2023, the London Borough of Tower Hamlets was the local authority with the lowest household waste recycling rate in England, at 17.7 percent. This was closely followed by Liverpool City Council, with a household waste recycling rate of 17.9 percent. That year, the average household waste recycling rate in England stood just below 42 percent.
