U.S. print publishing industry - employment by sector 2017

Employment data on the U.S. print publishing industry shows that the number of employees across all subsectors decreased between 2016 and 2017, with the exception of the book publishing subsector which saw an increase. In 2016, 64,085 people were employed at book publishing firms, however in 2017 this figure had grown to almost 72 thousand.
