Lowest average earning increase from obtaining a graduate degree U.S. 2009 This statistic shows the lowest average increases in income that were earned after obtaining a graduate degree in the respective fields. In the United States in 2009 students who obtained a graduate degree in Atmospheric Science and Meteorolgy could only expect a 1 percent increase in income as compared to if they only held a bachelor's degree.
