This survey illustrates the percentage of U.S. smartphone users who use laptops, desktops and/or tablets for private usage. In September and October 2011, 57 percent of private smartphone users use desktop PCs for private usage.

During the survey, this question was posed as follows: "Which, if any, of the following devices do you currently use?" and "For which purposes do you use [device]? Displayed is private usage.". Multiple answers were possible. * The data belongs to a survey of 2,000 respondents. (Total sample size: n=2,000 per wave per country, representative of the population.) The statistic shows only respondents who answers, that they own a smartphone. 38 percent of those surveyed said, that they own a smartphone.
