Operating profit of Ahold Delhaize Group 2021

After four years of continuous increase, Ahold Delhaize Group's operating profit worldwide decreased in 2020 and amounted to 2.19 billion euros, marking a drop of 471 million euros from the previous year. However, in 2021, the group's operating profit recovered, reaching its highest amount so far at approximately 3.3 billion. The Ahold Delhaize Group is a multinational food retailer, which operates supermarkets and convenience stores on three continents. The company was founded in 1867 and, as of July 23 2016, Ahold and the Delhaize Group underwent a merger with the combined entity renamed Ahold Delhaize.
