Coal consumption in Ukraine amounted to 950 petajoules in 2021, down by over one percent from the previous year. Ukraine's coal consumption has been on a continual annual decline since 2018. During the period in consideration, consumption of coal in the country has decreased by 660 petajoules, peaking at 1.79 exajoules in the years 2007 and 2012.
