Stop and search arrest rate England and Wales 2022

In 2021/22, 13 percent of all stop and searches performed by the police in England and Wales resulted in an arrest, compared with 11 percent in the previous year. During this time period, the arrest rate for stop and searches was highest in 2016/17 and 2017/18, when 17 percent of stop and searches resulted in an arrest.
