Attitudes towards science in the United Kingdom (UK) 2013 Survey
This 2013 survey shows UK adults' attitudes towards science by asking if they agree with a number of statements on the subject. There was a strong majority saying that they agree science will make our life easier. The respondents weighed the benefits of scientific progress heavier than the possible harmful effects of it, only 16 percent disagreed with this notion while 55 percent agreed with it. On the other hand, there was a majority of 55 percent agreeing that people should not tamper with nature.
