Viewing time was highest in 2012 at three hours and 50 minutes. Overall, throughout the period under consideration, the average daily time French viewers spent in front of their television set increased by nearly 20 minutes. The most popular television show in France in 2016 was Game of Thrones, followed by Fear The Walking Dead and Mr. Robot.
