Card transaction volume in Austria 2000-2022

The value of overall card payments in Austria grew by 11 billion euros between 2021 and 2022, the largest increase seen since 2000. Before that, the total value of transactions increased steadily with small fluctuation. In 2022, approximately 65 billion euros worth of card payments were carried out in Austria.
