Payment card number in Austria 2000-2022

The amount of payment cards given out in Austria from 2000 to 2022 has generally risen over time. The number of issued cards with a payment function amounted to approximately 14.26 million in 2022. Card payments (both credit and debit) consisted of almost half of payments by various payment methods in Austria in 2020 (49.2 percent).
