This timeline depicts the volume of bread consumed in Spain from 2008 to 2018, by type, in million kilograms. Regular fresh bread was by far Spain's favorite type of bread throughout the analyzed period of time, despite its constant decline that initiated in 2009, and amounted to slightly over one billion kilograms in 2018. Other types of bread followed far behind, the most consumed being fresh industrial bread, with a total volume of 199 million kilograms in 2018.
