In 2023, approximately 11 percent of responding participants aged between 40 and 49 in Canada stated that they follow a gluten-free diet. This was the highest share among all age groups. In general, participants in the older age cohorts had a lower share of participants who only consume gluten-free products than participants in the younger or middle age groups.
