Market penetration of banks for Danish large corporations in 2023

Nordea and Danske Bank were the two leading banks for large corporations in Denmark in 2023. Of the two, Nordea registered the highest market penetration rate, which reached 89 percent. The following leading bank for large corporations, Danske Bank, had a market penetration rate of 82 percent.

The largest Danish banks

   The Denmark-based Danske Bank did not only have one of the highest market penetration rate for large corporations, but, in 2021, ranked as the leading bank in Denmark overall, with total assets amounting to approximately 3.9 trillion Danish kroner. Nykredit, which ranked third in terms of market size, was also the third largest bank in Denmark in terms of total assets, after Danske Bank and Jyske Bank.

Nordea is the leading bank in Finland

   After a move of headquarters from Stockholm in 2018, Nordea is now headquartered in Helsinki. The bank then overtook OP Financial Group as the largest bank in Finland. The bank's total assets reached around 570.3 billion euros in 2021.
