This statistic depicts the demand for retirement security, according to the defined contribution (DC) and the defined benefit (DB) pension schemes in the United Kingdom (UK) in 2014. It was reported that nearly a half (49%) of employees with DB wished to maintain the majority of their savings as a secure income while very few employees with DC purchased the equivalent (15%).
