This statistic shows the amount of nitrous oxide (N2O) emissions attributable to the extraction of crude petroleum and natural gas in the United Kingdom (UK) from 1990 to 2017, in thousand metric tons of carbon dioxide equivalent (CO2e). It shows that N2O emissions increased from 1990 to 2000, rising from 324,700 metric tons of CO2e in 1990, to 507,100 metric tons of CO2e in 2000. From 2000 to 2017 emissions decreased overall, reaching 374,100 metric tons of CO2e in 2017.
