This statistic shows the amount of nitrous oxide (N2O) emissions attributable to the manufacture of petrochemicals in the United Kingdom (UK) from 1990 to 2017, in thousand metric tons of carbon dioxide equivalent (CO2e). N2O emissions decreased significantly over the period, particularly over the first ten years when they fell from approximately 20 million metric tons of CO2e in 1990, to 1.1 million metric tons of CO2e in 2000. Emissions of N2O continued to decrease and totaled 9,600 metric tons of oil equivalent in 2017.
