EU referendum: voting intention in the UK, by political affiliation This graph shows the voting intention of 1,650 British citizens for the EU referendum; the data is sorted in relation to how the sample group voted in the last 2015 UK general election. The majority of respondents wanting to withdraw from the EU were UKIP voters, the highest concentration of pro-EU voters voted for the Liberal Democrats. In both Conservative and UKIP parties the majority of voters support an independent United Kingdom, however the greater part of both Labour and Lib Dem voters back the proposal to remain a member of the EU.
