Commercial vehicle domestic sales in India FY 2011-2022, by segment
Fiscal year 2022 witnessed an increase in the sales of light commercial vehicles as well as heavy commercial vehicles, with 476 thousand units and 241 thousand units respectively. This sector was majorly comprised of trucks, with a minor share for buses. Light commercial vehicles had gross vehicle weight below 7.5 metric tons, while medium and heavy commercial vehicles ranged from over 7.5 metric tons up to 55 metric tons.
