Publishers’ revenue from printed and digital literature in Denmark 2014-2021
While publishers' sales revenue from printed literature has declined in recent years in Denmark, the revenue from digital books has been growing. However, as of 2021 publishing companies earned considerably more with their printed versions of books. In 2021, the value of printed literature amounted to about 1.3 billion Danish kroner. By comparison, the revenue of digital books, like e-books and audiobooks, was still just 566 million kroner.
