Pearls, precious and semi-precious stone import value to India FY 2011-2019

India imported over 1.8 trillion rupees worth of pearls, precious and semi-precious stones in fiscal year 2019. This value made up over 5.2 percent of all imports into the country that year, where gems and jewelry imports accounted for nearly 12.6 percent. The value of these imports peaked in fiscal year 2018 at over 2.2 trillion rupees.
