The number of monthly nights spent in hotels located in metropolitan France varied in the same way over the last few years. Months of the summer period indeed recorded the essential of hotel nights over a year. Nevertheless, the year 2020 marked a breakdown as figures were lower than average. In fact, hotels welcomed fewer clients that year due to the COVID-19 pandemic. April 2020 was the worst month as French hotels barely registered 700,000 nights.
