Evolution of the campground overnight stays in France summer 2020
2020 was an outstanding year for the tourism sector because of the COVID-19 pandemic. It was directly reflected in the number of overnight stays spent in campgrounds during the summer period in France. The overall number of overnight stays in that sector decreased by 15.7 percent in summer 2020, compared to the same period in 2019. Also, travel restrictions had a direct impact on the campgrounds clientele, as the decrease in overnight stays was greater among foreign tourists.
