Italy: firms working on autonomous cars 2016 Connected cars seem to be the next evolution step of car manufacturers. As reported by a recent survey, 55 percent of the respondents considered car manufacturers as the most suitable and legitimate entities to transform cars into connect cars.
How connected cars are perceived?

According to data, 84 percent of the respondents stated that connected cars are a real improvement in terms of comfort/guiding. Only 22 percent reported that connected cars are something to worry about. Connected cars might evoke privacy and data concerns among car drivers.

Data concerns

Although connected cars seem to be the next mandatory step for the automobile industry, some concerns are arising among Italian car drivers. As reported in a survey, 23 percent stated that they are concerned by the usage of the information that is accumulated by the car. 15 percent reported to fear for their safety and, lastly, 13 percent declared that they fear that the car functionalities would be rapidly outdated.
